During June 2018 I was the Artist-in-Residence at Acadia National Park on the coast of Maine. This is my second visit to Acadia but, this time my base was the Schoodic Institute on the Schoodic Peninsula across Frenchman Bay from Mount Desert Island. Being close to the sea for the month made a strong impression on me and this piece emphasizes that influence.
Rhythmic seething sea.
Flowing in and flowing out,
Sunlight, water, rocks.
