Environment Vessels
Property is the seventh in my Environment Series that started in 2019. It refers to the loss of habitat by nearly all creatures to make room for the increasing human population. There is no such thing as vacant land. Something lives on every inch of the planet. Although people have a right to live here, where do the rights of the rest of the inhabitants of the planet come in? Where is the balance? When is it time to evaluate how much we are entitled to? This vessel is made of copper, enamel, and brass. It measures 12 inches high by 6 inches in diameter. The haiku etched around the rim reads:
Home is more than land.
Earth is not just property.
We all must live here.
