Environment Vessels
This piece, tentatively titled Environment Vessel #1, may become one of a series. It was actually completed a few weeks ago but the timing seemed inappropriate for posting about myself. The form was spun in copper in three parts, soldered together. The rim and base are sterling silver. The vessel is 8 inches high by six inches wide. The beauty of the natural environment and how it has been altered is depicted in imagery around the surface. Enameling processes include cloisonné, ceramic decal, limoges and sifting. A haiku etch around the rim reads:
How much should we take?
And what should we leave behind?
Have we gone too far?
